Well, I recently ordered my first ever custom knife. It's a Simonich hawksbill Cetan in ATS-34 with blue/black micarta handle and multi-carry Kydex sheath. I was hoping Rob would make it that night and Fedex it to me the next day

, but it turns out that there is a several MONTH waiting period. So what the heck do I do in the meantime? Any advice from those more experienced in this area? Is there a knife-buying equivalent to, I don't know, like chewing gum instead of having a cigarette? The days seem to be going by so slowly. BTW-Rob was really great about answering my questions and working with me on the design.

Do like I do, buy at least 10 more high end production knives at the rate of 2 a week to keep you happy till it arrives.
