Finally, Im ready to part with my beloved, one-of-a-kind SOG Gold TiNi SwitchPlier. It was made especially for me during my days working at SOG and to the best of my knowledge, no other one like this (or even close to this) was made for any private party and certainly, it was never put into production.

On this tool, the gold TiNi coating was applied to the plierhead, main pivot bolt, tool lock lever, tool pivot bolt, and main plier lever.
As the pictures show, it is stunning to behold. All the gold TiNi coated parts are dazzlingly shinny. Giving a little different appearance, the plierhead features a matt gold finish. For those curious, the plierhead for the SwitchPlier originally came with a matt gray finish similar to steel that had been bead-blasted. When TiNi finish is applied to polished surfaces, it shines with a glossy luster. When it is applied to a matt surface, it assumes matt characteristics of the steel below.
It is in perfect working order. It also shows no signs of use besides some slight evidence that the tool has been opened and closed (which can be seen on the plierhead in the photos provided). It will come with a couple of stock nylon carry pouches. My guess is that whoever buys it will not put it into use. SOG customarily will likely not repair/replace a unique, prototype-oriented knife/tool if it becomes faulty, rather keeping their warranty for production models.
Originally, the SwitchPlier sold for $75 in standard configuration. Because of its exclusivity and collectible nature, this one-of-a-kind Gold TiNi SwitchPlier is being sold for $285 (trades considered only for CRK or WH).
