Once I started doing some custom handles for my Opinel knives, I remembered that I had a nice piece of wood salvaged from an air rifle cleaning rod (and old Beeman product) that the metal rod had snapped off.
It had a nice cocobolo hexagonal handle... so I made this for my Opinel No.6.
I used the end piece that I had to cut off to get to the solid wood for the knife blade... braided a paracord lanyard for it !
It's going to be hard to throw any wood away now... especially tool handles... I may take up carving !
