Custom options for benchmade

I have a mini grip with custom micarta Cuscadi scales and a 2013 shot show LE griptilian which are 2 of my favorite Benchmades along with my 940.
My point being on Benchmades "customize a griptilian" they need to add options for various colored and cut pattern g10 and micarta scales. They also need standoffs in different colors and styles so we can truly build the knives we want instead of having to wait for special edition models that you may not want to use and abuse daily. Also with Benchmades ability for mass production the cost of custom scales for griptilians wouldn't have to be $125-$200 like many are. So for a FAIR upgrade charge we could have these upgrades without chasing aftermarket vendors for parts that cost more than the original knife.
Please hear our comments Benchmade, I would buy several more right now.

Thanks Chris

I know I'd buy more grips. The only thing keeping me away is the handle. Color I can care less about, but when you pay 100$+ and then need custom scales for it, I'd rather just buy a knife with nice scales to begin with. I doubt benchmade will ever see this, or respond. They are never on here talking to us, they leave us blind...

That would be pretty epic if the customize a griptilian feature also let you choose from some different material scales and colored standoffs.

Doubt it will ever happen though, Benchmade doesn't seem to make improvements to a production model once its been released, they just let it ride as is.

Obviously they are already setup for the tooling since they've done the LE versions, but maybe not enough for full scale production.

I customize my own grips and love doing it for other people, but I do agree it would be nice for benchmade to que in on what everyone wants..plus like you guys are saying you would buy multiples for the right price, I would aswell. Kinda like spydercos constant product improvement type deal, I think the demand is there for hetter material and couldn't hurt benchmades business at all. They could even just go with a couple basic materials like black g10 or orange g10. And have like runs of certsin materials at a time. Just confuses me ehy they don't do that yet.

I love BM but they refuse to listen to us, have you ever tried to send a tip, something you think would be awesome and/or you know will sell well? They flat out tell you on their FAQ'S "DO NOT SEND UNSOLISITED DESIGN INQUIRES". Again I love the company and of course I love their knives, I just wish they would atlease consider our input, instead of just saying "here's what you get, now love it" like they know we will.

Its 2014, you can't run a company and not take customers input, with how much design queries other companies take from customers these days BM is going to have to change, especially with their customer un-friendly MAP policies recently, they may have good after-sale service on their stuff but there's more to CS than after sale service these days, this isn't the 60's anymore, even wih mass production its a buyers market...
