I carry one everyday to work since it's small. Currently, it's one of the brass bolstered ones with cherry wood, very nice and I like it a lot.

Are there many limited editions out there of the 305 or things to change up from the black handles ones and the cherry one I have?
It's small size likely doesn't make it a great platform for much.
I was only able to find one on the bay with bone handles for $90. Interesting but doesn't really do much for me.

If I step up to the 309 options open up more. I have a horn handled one already and a Timberland (think that is right, has a feather on it).
May need to try the 309 more if there are no nice 305's which I like.

Thanks in advance for any I should go look for now or if you know where any may be now.

Most of my 305s are black Delrin, but I do have these: sawcut yellow Delrin, smooth red Delrin and charcoal Dymondwood.

There was a really good thread on the 305 Lancer back in 2013. There are more variations of the 305 than you might think initially. Go here for lots of info and pictures....

I have many 305's in my collection but for my large hand they are too small to be a user.

Desoto,
Thanks for the link to the '03 post! Just what I was looking to find. Man, you have a huge mitt! It is a bit small for me but I'm a bit limited at work so as to not scare the sheeple.

I've considered the 305, in the past, as a knife a person wearing a coat and tie to work would carry. Now days with work knife limits it is still hanging around. If your rules allow a 309 sized knife, that is what I would carry. Fits in the hand a little better and you just feel like you have a knife in your hand versus a carnival toy. Yes, yes I am aware of the "Peanut crowd" and the many things they have done with their little knife. Everyone has their ideas what is great.

Check out the often overlooked Buck model 705, same size blades in a fancier and more substantial frame. Not current production but still readily available on the auction sites.
