Custom Order, 1095 & Desert Ironwood

Here is a custom order I just finished:

Blade Steel: 1095
Grind: Flat
Blade Length: Appx. 4" (Cutting Edge)
Blade Width: Appx. 1 3/8"
Overall Length: Appx. 9 1/2"
Handle: Arizona Desert Ironwood with 2 Brass Pins and Brass Lined Lanyard Hole
Sheath: Hand Sewn Leather by Maker - Horizontal Carry
1/4" Fire Steel With Arizona Desert Ironwood Handle
Thumb Notches on Spine

This is a really user friendly looking knife. All the ergos look just about perfect. I don't think I've seen desert ironwood that dark in a while. How did you treat it?

It was a piece near the burl. I sanded to 500 grit and applied Johnson Paste Wax. That's all.
