I should probably e-mail Yangdu about this, but I wanted to ask you guys about the custom order process. There are just some things like the D-handled Khukuri, the medallion, and the ring on the website that really piqued my interest.

Have any of you had an experience with that?

What did it cost you?

Anyone have a khukuri that is longer than the Cherokee Rose? You can't have your carry knife longer than your carry khukuri (that would just be a crime against nature) and I want one of those bad to match an AK Bowie.

Vandro, it is best to email Yangdu with your idea/order. She can tell you what it would cost, the timeframe, and other important information. :)

eMail Yangdu. She will give you details and a time frame. Since these are custom made, I don't want to list what I paid, as it might not be the same, and don't want to put her in a fix or anything.

Yes, I have a 25" CAK. It's a friggin monster, it (and its handles) are big enough to wield two-handed.

To be honest, even though my 20" CAK is 1/2" shorter than the Cherokee Rose, due to the handle size difference, it actually has about 1.5" more blade than the Rose. I probably would not carry both at the same time.

If I were to go out on a "frontiersman" camping trip (which I like to do), I'd probably take a Hudson Bay style Axe with the Rose. Kinda fits into the persona better.

I have a 26" chitlangi.

It's a big beautiful beast.

If they make a Cherokee Rose bigger than that, it would be more of a falchion than a bowie knife.

Given the blade shape, more of a scimitar. :D

Not all falchions looked like that. Some had sort of clip point blades.

Also a falchion:
