Just finished this one. What do you all think?

Steel: 440c, forged from round bar. Hollow ground, 400 grit handrubbed finish

Blade length: 9"

Blade thickness: 1/4"

Handle material: desert ironwood

Thanks for looking!

Great photos of great fit and finish!
So is the "440C" stamped on the bottom (edge) or the top (false edge)? And how thick is that unsharpened edge?

Don't see a pig, but rather a great piece of work.
Congratulations Phillip,
Jim

Extremely nice.
Looks to be superb fit and finish.
Good looking desert ironwood and really like the blade profile.

Great Pics of an outstanding knife! Who knew crinkled brown paper could make for an interesting background! I like every detail down to the chamfered thong tube.

Another awesome knife Phillip!

Somehow, your pictures always end up looking dark on my screen. Your knives really deserve to have Coop or someone photograph them.

I took the liberty of lightening them up as best I could. I hope you don't mind.

By the way, what does JTW stand for?

Phil, the knife is beautiful, nice lines with perfect grind. Never liked the mosaic pins -- for me , they distract from the classic overall look. IMHO

Other than maybe wanting to see the guard a little more symmetrical from side to side, and the "wings" or "quillions" for lack of a more specific and correct term a little thinner, this one looks just about perfect....I mean hojeez, look at those grinds!!!!

JTW is most priveleged to be getting it.

Best Regards,
