Here's a custom piece that is being made for one of our favorite HOGs. . . . I thought that you guys and gals might enjoy a thread that shows some of the hand work that goes into a custom!

First, here's the rough cut blank that measures a full 3/8" thick!!!!! :eek: This is sawed out by hand on a metal cutting bandsaw. . . .This usually takes about 3 beers and 4 glasses of scotch!!!

What kind of steel is that? 420J2?:D

(I would have used the tongue sticking out smiley, except it looks really stupid now)

Oh, it's INFI my friend. . . about 38 lbs of INFI ! ! ! !! :eek:

I know my limit and I wouldn't wanna be near a metal cutting bandsaw after about 3 beers and 4 glasses of scotch.

Jeez I'm sober and I see a face in the blade!
 
that is gonna be one really SWEET blade when it is finished..

Jerry,, you should bring it to the Atlanta Blade show "IF" ya finish it in time:thumbup: would make a very nice conversation piece.

I'm curious,,, but what handle and blade combo will this beauty have when finished???
