Watch for specific details in the coming few days!

The aforementioned well-know custom maker is excited about the project. The current plan is to offer about 25-30 pieces.

Right now, we're working on exactly how to present to the project to you in the coming few days. But, I'm just so excited, I had to post something today.

Thanks Chuck,
I have been wondering about it.
I hope it has Titanium handles and a 5 inch blade.

Who else would like a 5 inch blade?

Hello Chuck,
Glad to hear the good news....but when do you think the project will be complete? ALso you mentioned a price a while back...does that still stand? Is there any other info that you can give to us about the knife? thanks -giar

Details are still being discusses. I expect to set up a web page with more detailed information in the upcoming week. Remember, these knives will be totally hand-made by one maker who has other irons (or, in this case, blades) in the fire too.

As my mother often reminds me, "Patience is a virtue."

I know that for some of you who have almost soiled your pants waiting for your BM42, this one is going to seem like forever, but that is the nature of custom knives. Good things come to those who wait.

Chuck, are we talking about by Christmas?

What do you think about Titanium handles and a 5 inch blade?

I'm in. Will it be a "user" or one to put away and just look at. Hopefully it will be one that will be functionable and durable as I am sure it will be great looking.

Excellent!!!

Well, I'm glad to see so much enthusiasm. This is going to be great!

The basic technical details of the knife will begin to come out shortly. I know that some of you may feel like you've been left out, but I can assure you that all of your input has been seen and considered by the maker. I hope that you can understand that we're not trying to exclude anyone here. But, we do have to make some decisions. Whenever you make decisions, you disappoint some people. The old saying about "you can please all of the people some of the time, you can please some of the people all of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time" is true. So, when the actual knife is unveiled and it's not exactly what you suggested, please understand that it is not because your suggestion didn't get through, it is not because your suggestion was no good, it is not because your suggestion isn't valued, and it is not because Gollnick is designing this knife and it's going to be exactly what he wants. It's just because when the maker ballanced your suggestion, all of the other suggestions, and his own muse, he went a different direction.

This knife will be a custom. So you can have yours made as a rugged, rough-and-ready user or as a fine, exotic, artistic display piece. Heck, you might even want two.

Again, I hate to keep y'all waiting, but I am not in charge of this project, I am just your humble representative. The maker and his representative are very much in charge and I'm just waiting for their response to the details.

As I said, more details to come shortly. I'm sorry for the delays. I know that you all are very eager. But, I'm not in charge here. I have to work with the maker and his dealer on exactly how to present the project.

Put me down for one. I'm always interested in a custom bali. And I'm willing to wait!

I love it!

It's kinda like teeing off on a par three, as soon as it leaves the club face you know it was a good one. Now all you gotta do is stare it down and see how close it comes.

I smell a hole-in-one here folks! Worth all the wait in the world when it finally happens.

Kind regards,

Sabo
