:confused:I have a new custom 110 and I really like the knife, but it takes quite the effort and force to "press down" on the lock-back bar to release the blade to swing back down into the handle after it is opened. Is this normal?

Interesting. Two of my three customs require the extra effort you describe akula. I've become used to it and don't think much of it, but when I let someone else check my knives out, I do notice their struggle to close them. Normal? Good question.

Don't sweat it, every single one of my Custom Shop 110's were like that, but after a little carry and use, they get easier.

I always just figured it was the tighter hand fitted tolerances of the Custom Shop knives.

What Bear Claw said.
Tighter is better so long as it doesn't take two thumbs to work it.
Hey, I know. Been married 21 years...

thanks for your input guys, I just couldn't figure out if this was odd or nor.

LOL...peeps see my ring and ask "how long ya been married?".
I always say "21 years"..AND one of my brothers ALWAYS has to chime it, "Yeah, but that's with three different wives".
Hey, I get bored.
Mrs. Goose III and I got hitched in Sturgis 2006.

That's one of the funniest things I have read in a while... your wife isn't the one with the fish is it? ;)
No Woody...
That is my step-mom...I took the pic on a church fishing trip...

That's not her with the mono-brow and 'different' dental plan, is it?

Hey, I recycled... married to the first wife for '20 and 3' years. Some things just can't be recycled. The second one has lasted 9+ yr thus far. I'm beginning to think it's me.

My CS 110s eased up a bit with a spritz of aerosol RemOil, a gun cleaner you can find at Wally World, etc. The BCCI BG-42/G10/Micarta knife actually had a fine black powder, ground scale material I am sure, float out. They were all easier to open & unlock afterwards.

Oh... WV slurps... your Mountaineers weren't very nice to my alma mater last night. Auburn really slurps this year. If they just beat Alabama, I'll be happy. It may even make up for the lack of Wally World Buck tins this Christmas.
