Is there anyone who will piece together a custom SAK. I would really like an alox Pioneer with scissors and a cork screw.

Is it possible to put a cork screw on an alox SAK? the cork screw is usually on the back of a SAK and alox don't have tools on the back.

I too would like a pioneer/soldier with scissors instead of the awl. And if someone could cut slots for tweezers/toothpick, that would be awesome.

You would have to cut part of the aluminum away but I think it could be done. I'm just wondering if the holes would line up between the alox slabs and the two piece back spring needed for the corkscrew. Not sure.

I think at least adding scissors would be pretty easy. You could just remove the wood saw from a Farmer and replace it with scissors. Does anyone know if it would be possible to put Wenger scissors in a Vic?

I don't think so. The Spartan, Climber, Camper etc are 91MM tools and then Wenger tools are 85mm.

I've built several custom SAKS, you have to take care in selecting the correct parts to match the scales/frames. I have built several Pioneers with Scissors, but have yet to add the corkscrew. The issue is that standard 91MM springs are a bit short ~2mm for the pioneer frame so the challenge would be to find or make the correct backspring to support the corkscrew.

ScottK thanks for the info. I really only wanted the Alox because of its sturdyness but I checked out your site and am really digging the tactical saks. Wouldn't mind one that matched my PT. I'll email you with details of what I would like, I'd like to hear what you think.

Go over to SOSAK (www.sosakonline.com) and look up a guy by the nickname of "Scibeer." He lives out in CA and puts together custom SAKs. He put a pair of scissors in a Vic Farmer for me. It's my favorite EDC SAK.
