Hi Everyone

first off i want you opinion an a good outdoor folder ? ive been looking at the cold steel voyager Xl as a great folding blade. i want something for light chopping and maybe light batoning Example: making kindling, i just need to make sure it will be nice and dependable ( like any good knife ) secondly it want some custom scales, i was thinking some Digi-camo micarta scales. If anyone reading this post if interested in making me some scales or knows a good place/website for finding custom scales i would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks All

What you really need is a fixed blade for light chopping and batonning. Folders are just not built for it. Throw a Mora in your backpack. Simple, perfect for light batonning and chopping, and inexpensive. Save the folder for what it is built for - slicing.

As for a good outdoor folder, the Vic Farmer is a great choice. May even be customizable.
