Custom Scales for CS Recon1/Lawman?

Have a few Recon1s (new and old) and just ordered a American Lawman about 10 mins ago. Was wondering if anyone has tried to make any aftermarket G10 scales in different patters or colors? I've seen a few that guys filed/sanded the stock scales.
