Well, I decided that I needed yet another knife, and well why not another Fallkniven I'll barely use to the collection? The new F1x is really nice, It's a bit thicker than my F1 but thinner than my F1Pro, It's nice to have the design of the F1Pro in a thinner blade, I like it a lot, however because I can't ever leave something alone, since the scales come off of the new F1x whos making some custom scales for this new knife?
thanks

I don't believe anyone at this time is making handle scales for them. I'm sure in the future someone will. If you look around here you may be able to find someone to do it. I've been looking at the s1xb myself they look nice, sounds like you like Fallkvivens also. They do make some nice knives.

Indeed, you're not the first person to ask this, and I'm rather surprised that no one has put any products out there to fill this untapped market. I hope I see the thread containing the announcement of who begins making them first, because I'd probably pick up an S1x immediately. Meh, who am I kidding, I'd probably pick up an F1x too!

Sadly I've not found anyone yet, any suggestions of someone who might be interested in having someone for R+D?

I would be interested in this as well. The scales are great but I would like some in red linnen micarta.

Is the x really thinner then the pro? Its not in S1 and A1 sizes.

Regarding the scales. I have been playing with the idea of making a pair myself out of micarta. That cant be to hard.

I believe that the blade thickness and geometry are exactly the same as well as CoS. steel. X is cheaper. And considering that I heard some complaints about a wiggling guard on Pro models - X-series sounds like an easy choice.

They are now spot welded with a sheet metal plate under the rubber grips and no longer wiggle on the pro series.
