1. am wondering if there are any recommendations for craftsmen doing good and affordable work on custom scales for folders? and what kind of pricing? or if they are up for bartering / trade for materials? I have a scandi/puukko style folder, with brown micarta scales but I really prefer thicker stabilised karelian/curly birch scales with red liners - I use my knives for outdoor work/bushcrafty stuff and prefer a thicker handle for wood processing.
2. what is the value of an original (but used with love marks, scratches) Cold Steel Espada folder? someone gave me a beat up one, I cleaned it up as best as I could and resharpened it but I don't see myself ever carrying or using this LARGE folder.
