I want to buy some wood scales for my bk9 , must be willing to ship to Australia , payment will be via an MO. I thought I'd put this here to see if anyone's interested in the job. If you are interested , let me know what kind of wood you do , prices etc. I'll have the money around the 15th of this month , so no rush.
 
Check tommythewho scales...i personally love them,the price is right,he ship very fast and worldwide...

I did not know that, thank you! They are really sweet looking, I've been considering getting some. If you have a set, are they as comfortable as the oem micarta?
 
I never had micarta scales so i don t the difference but i can tell you that the wood scales feel nice in hand and look beautiful on knives
 
i really like the feel of the oem micarta, i have also tried G10 scales, but didn't like the feel of the G10. They were well contoured and comfortable, but I didn't feel like I was connected to the knife (if that makes any sense). I've been eyeing the wood scales for a while. Maybe it's time to get some.
 
If you don't have any luck I would be willing to help you out. Rather then being limited to doing business with those that will ship to you. Send me the MO, I will deposit it in my bank and use paypal to order you the scales you really want and mail them to you. I just helped a guy in Finland get Kabar micarta. Happy to help you too if you want. :)
 
Wow really ? Thanks ! I'll shoot off a few emails closer to payday and see what's what. I'm also debating if I want wood or some really decent micarta scales . Definitely want a decent sheath and stainless hardware
