to add to your list of guys who'll do it: i had Phillip Dobson do the same thing on my Spyderco Phoenix. he did a great job. i searched and found STR here on BF (he used to do custom scales, doesn't anymore) and he referred me to phillip. replaced the white micarta scales with CF. he's quick and he does good work. cost about $75-$80 ($30ish for the CF, $30ish for the work, plus shipping both ways). his website is phillipdobson.com
-having given you his name, i'm pretty sure he's heading to Asia for vacation next week, so he might be off-grid for a little while.
i also got good info from james terrio and rayban here on BF about doing a custom scale job on a fallkniven F1 (i'm still working on acquiring the scales i want on that project), so they might be another couple guys to contact and see if they work with CF.
good luck in your search.
Nested liners makes creating a custom replacement scale more difficult, since the recesses on the inside of the scale have to be cut to a precise depth. Greater difficulty generally means greater cost. It also tends to limit the number of people who are willing and able to tackle the project. Thanks guys I'll check them out. The military I have dose have nested liners so hope it's not that much to have done.![]()
