Now that I have the Tatanka in my hand, I've been wondering about changing out the scales. Black is nice, but camo or some other interesting color would be nice also. Anybody know where I can go to get some custom scales made for this beast?

I've got some material on the way. Keeping it to myself till the job is done though.
I want to be the first. :D

Looking forward to what you chose Barman. I've come up with a couple ideas since we discussed which material would best suit the knife. There's one in particular that seems an obvious choice, but I haven't worked with it yet...

ShepardCC does some amazing work, and is a pleasure with whom to work on these such projects. I'd take a look at his thread and get in touch with him.

Agreed...he can be backlogged a little bit but his products are every bit worth the wait. You'll have to send him the knife if he hasn't made a set of Tatanka scales yet. Here's a few pictures of some scales he made for me...he also did the sheath, acid, and stone wash on the Swick.
