***UPDATED today May 17th 2024***
Got my Suingab scales in and installed today, see post #14

Looking for custom scales for a Spyderco Police 4 and possibly others at a later date.

I’m new to custom scales and have heard of Flytanium, but seems like they only offer a few models and don’t include the Police 4.

I came across the Suingab website and has lots of offerings however they’re in Lithuania and seems like ordering is more kind of an email for price and then PayPal payment. He’s been quick to respond to my emails and seems knowledgeable.

Curious if they’re good to go? Any others you guys recommend?

Here’s their website https://g10.lt/?cat=36

I've been looking for aftermarket Police 4 scales since Spyderco came out with the K390 lightweight and have yet to find some(that don't require commissioning a custom set).

Thanks for the response guys! Seems like he’s done quite a few. That’s great news, seemed legit just figured I’d ask first. I’ve got an email in to him with what I’m after and I’ll get them ordered hopefully tomorrow. I think I’ll go with the OD green micarta.

pics deleted due to being out of space

Agnius has made several sets of scales for me for various knives. He does a great job and is quick to answer any questions that come up.

I’ve even had some niche material requests and he was able to source great stuff for the projects. Suingab gets two thumbs up from me.

Suingab is good to go!!!!!Got my 640 OD canvas micarta from him!!

Got my shipping notification from Suingab for my scales today.

Looking forward to getting them and posting up pics. Will be my first set of custom scales to date.

Probably won’t be the last lol.

Well…… I finally got these scales installed on my Spyderco Police today. looks like everyone else has deleted their images as well due to the conundrum so they could continue posting with the exception of J jfk1110 (huge PITA to do it).

I tried installing these when they first came in but had a heck of a time. I spent hours screwing around and had trouble with the flat spots on the female pins due to having to be lined up perfectly and oriented exactly.

Had a hell of a time getting the lock bar/spring in, as well and that was the main hang up. After hours of failing, bending up the bronze washers from the lock bar, and finally cutting my finger pretty good, I quit. Put the FRN scales back and had been sitting since today.

I’d seen them on the bench the other day and figured I’d give them a shot again today.

They look pretty good and are very grippy. Blade isn’t centered at all though, but I’m sure it’s on me. It’s up against the clip side, but doesn’t rub.

Anyways, I appreciate everyone’s advice and reassurance again. It’s exciting to FINALLY get them on lol.

There's a trick to putting the lockbar back in...you gotta basically put the whole knife back together-- including backspring and while pressing the lockbar back in place under the spring tension-- push the fastener back thru the hole in the lockbar when everything is just rite.

My apologies if you already knew this, but one of my friends over on Spydercoforums showed me the method over 20 years ago. Just thought I'd pay it forward.

That’s actually how I made it work this time. Before I was putting the lock bar in under spring tension with the pivot, then trying to put the blade on, position blade, then put the top liner one.

I got it pretty quick doing it the way you described though. I was so relieved and excited lol. I should have YouTubed it or asked for advice beforehand but didn’t think I’d have any trouble. Thanks again!
