Hey guys,

I've been making a pair of scales for my Kershaw Skyline recently and realized an issue with the the T6 torx that the scales attach with. The screws thread through the scale on one side, the backspacer, and the liner, and then screw into small rings that are inlayed in the scale on the opposite side. I'm realizing now that I need to somehow get those small rings inlayed in the scale out and then glue them into my new scale. I was wondering if there is way to reuse the inlayed screws from the factory scales or if you must order new ones from someplace online.

If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.

Thanks

i think i can help!

1.take the knife fully apart
2.thread a body screw into the ring
3.then tap it out of the scale
4.take a pair of needle nose pliers and grip the ring
5.then just unscrew the body screw

on a side note: be very careful not to loose them (its very easy..) but if all else fails call kershaw and they'll send you the part!

hope it helps!

Yeah thats what I was thinking of doing too, I just didn't want to pull the trigger before hearing from someone who had done it before
