Custom scales?

Need to pick all you hogs brains on this. How do the custom shop G10/wood/liners scales hold up? on a bigger chopper blade are there concerns in heavy chopping? Should I be reluctant to make one a "user" (from a toughness standpoint)? An in a worse case, how are these handled in warranty situation?

Not sure on the first few questions, but the warranty is solid. The only kicker would be if they had the exact same scales in stock, referring to the wood ones.

Warranty isn't an issue as ironwagon said. Biggest issue would be that with wood you are not going to get 2 exact patterns alike. So might be same material, just not going to look exactly the same.
