Custom sheath for Desert Dagger S25 needed

Hi all,

First post - glad to be here. I recieved my first SOG knife today "woohoo" (SOG Desert Dagger S25). However I am not overly happy with the hard Kydex sheath. So I am looking get a custom black leather one.

I have seen this post http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=380305 and was really impressed by the work (VESS).

I have a couple of pictures, one showing a kydex sheath and the other, don't laugh at my crude attempt to show how I want my sheath to look :rolleyes: (approximate and open to idea's).

I was thinking the knife clasp could be the same as the Bowie in the link I posted????? The main point is that every sheath I have seen for the SOG Desert Dagger has been very "thin" looking (which I dont think looks good). I am looking for a more substantial sheath more along the lines of the original Kydex one. perhaps even exactly the same shape and size with a nice pattern where the holes are?? (my mock up picture was just an example).

Anyway if anyone is interested in the work then please reply to this post. :)

Any ideas on the sheath are welcome as well. :)

Just to let you know. Vess isn't ignoring me. We are in contact by email and i feel sure we are coming to some sort of agreement on making the sheath.

But I did enjoy the scintilating discussion ... the myriad of idea's that adorned the thread took my breath away. My mind was so awash with all the idea's I could hardly sleep last night.

Now isn't this what the DD sheath should look like? Simple but substantial - like the original kydex.

and..... it wont scratch my lovely SOG DD to bits :)

Additinal: I'd like to add that Vess has been brilliant! If you should have any requirements then contact him. I'm 100%
sure he'll make it work for you! The cost is right as well. :p

Just received the sheath from VESS and have to say that the pictures do not do the actual sheath justice..... the sheath really is great.. Solid tough leather with a gorgeous finish..... I LOVE MY SOG DESERT DAGGER NOW!!!!
