Here is a sheath I designed and made. It can be worn either vertical, or semi-horizontal. This one is for the RAT-4 but this design could work for almost any knife. I have done some testing of this sheath, and the design is quite strong. I'd like to know what you think about it.

Very Nice, U need a pocket, and a place for a fire steel...and a strap so ur knike dont fall out

I think its far enough down the sheath not to fall out by the look of it, although it wouldnt hurt to have a strap.
A ring to slide the steel into not a pocket, its looking good being clean.
Where the stitches are you could add the fire steel holder.

Looks great.

Beo-wulf that is some fine looking leather work you have done on those sheathes.

I wish I had some skills like that!

It is tight, and will not fall out when held up-side down.

Looks real nice. The horizontal style looks like its easy to draw your blade from. I also love that deep-carry leather sheath style, and i know from my own sheath that the knife is secure enough inside the sheath and dosent need a strap.

I got mine made at JRE for my TAK.

I am getting pm's and emails about making custom sheaths to fit different knives.
The answer is "yes" but the best way to contact me is pm or email.

I have everyone send me their knife, so I can get a perfect fit...unless I already have a knife like yours in my collection. These questions make good post because they are beneficial to everyone else.

I have worn this sheath some the last few weeks. I am still pleased with the design and the function....The knife is still snug and the dual use belt design is holding up just fine....you never know until you try it for awhile!
