Custom Sheaths For ESEE-3???

Hi All,

Planning on making my first purchase of an ESEE-3 knife and would like to use it as a EDC.
The problem is the stock sheath may not work the way I would like for EDC.
Just wondered if anyone has any information on any custom sheath makers for this knife???

I wouldn't mind trying a horizontal-small of the back type of carry, but don't know how
comfortable this would be.

I would prefer plastic-kydex or other type of molded material, but leather would be the
second choice if it was a good design. I would think that with all of the 3's sold someone
would be creative to design a EDC sheath for this knife.

Any suggestions???
Thanks for your help.

Azwelke on the forums does nice stuff. Kiah has some good looking pieces as well. There are a lot of excellent makers on here you could work with, and they generally have very reasonable prices.

Martin Swinkels from the Netherlands does good kydex bending. Have a sheath for my ESEE-3 from him on the way as we speak.

General Knife Discussion is not an all-purpose forum. Please post in the proper forum: Sheaths & Such. I'm moving this there.

I do some leather horizontal ones for the Esee4 which is my edc. I suppose I could order a 3 if your interested in one. I keep them pretty small, you won't even know it is there.

Welcome Skystorm! :)

The esee 3 is a very nice little knife, you wont be disappointed. I end up using my 3 more than my 4 lately, the thinner stock makes for a laser edge.

I have a couple of Semper Paratus kydex sheaths in tactical nylon. Great quality. They can also be made with a pocket for a multi-tool, etc. Great guy to deal with.

I've made a few kydex for the ESEE RC-3. I can't find a pic of the 3 right now. But here's a CRK that can be carried Hor. or Ver. small of the back.

Thanks for the kind words:)

custom is nice! but a quick fix for horizontal carry is a tek-lok on factory sheath. which can b placed horizontally in small of back. I carried my BK2 that way to decide if it was a comfortable position for me b4 spending money on a custom job many years ago. and that tek-lok has came in useful in more situations than i can count since its original use.

Motorman,

Welcome to the forums.... good people here for sure. Congrats on the ESEE-3 too, that little knife get's a lot of love! I also make kydex sheaths for the 3 but you don't necessarily have to lock down one particular way to carry it, this system let's you try 'em all out;) Threw this together "quick & dirty" as a mock up for a group buy on ESEE's forum (needs a little finishing) but you'll get the idea.

ESEE-3 Sheath w/firesteel holder and belt loop that I make (also works with Tek-Loks):

Belt carry options starting with "ranger" style, just need to flip the sheath around:

I also make them work with a couple different options and "kit" setups.....again there are a lot of mounting options, if you've got any questions/request feel free to ask.

Here is a pic of two of the smaller knives that I have done.
My sheaths are Level II retention and horizontal carry is no problem, I have done several paddle carry small of the back.
Welcome to the forum.
