They now have a knife pouch as an option for a sheath.
These must be new as they were not available last month when I ordered mine.
Is it just big enough for the knife? It appears larger.
It's an available option for the 110 and the 112.
Just wondering if anyone has seen, or even have one?

I'm not sure I "gotta have it", however it is interesting.
Thanks.

I didn't know that. I also didn't know they were charging for leather sheaths now.

I looked.
I think I'd pass. The sheath I can wear on my belt.
Sorry, but the pouch just does not seem as handy or practical as a sheath to me.

I have hundreds of Buck sheaths.A pouch would be a neat addition to a collection. That may be just the ticket to carry that special Buck to and from a show or to a friends house for show and tell.

Charging for a black leather sheath is something new.

The black cordura sheaths are still free with the 110. I like them better. Leather is still free with the 112. I might try one of the pouches eventually, just to have it.

Standard knives come with sheath

Custom shop gives the choice of how you want to carry. Seems like a normal option on a custom. They should charge if it isn't included in the price, Screenshot_20191201-100756.jpg

Those pouches are good for storing a knife and eliminates scratches but too bulky to carry in your pocket. I bought pouches online for some very special knives I own and they do not have a belt loop, so to belt carry you would need to invest in a sheath. I have hundreds of leather and Cordura sheaths and I will never need to buy a sheath for any buck I own or purchase in the future and I am sure there are many on the forum that will not need a sheath to carry a buck 110 or 112 in. This is my opinion and I speak only for myself so do not take offense to my opinion. I know that I did not pay $15 or $20 for one pouch.

I like options. I'm good with the standard cordura sheath for no extra money. I like those sheaths. I'd prefer a brown version cordura too, but can't have everything.

maybe the leather are American made now so the upcharge? maybe not but things cost money.

I was looking at a zt brand folding knife at a big discount for 160 something bucks today. then buck sent an exclusive colored 110 and 112 slims email and new tshirts. I got 4 110s and a couple tshirts for about the same price. that's a bargin.

I find myself using the cordura sheaths for storage and the leather ones for carry.

I wonder if the pouches have belt loops. Or do I just carry it in my "man bag"? Ha.
.....Is that politically correct?
Gotta go before I get myself in trouble.

Do the cordura belt sheaths have something to protect the knife from being scratched by the back of the button?

You asked a good question, sir! I just went and looked at approx. 6 out of 15 Cordura sheaths that I have and the back of the button has no protection. I also looked at quite a few of the leather sheaths and they do have a swatch of material covering the back of the button. A little info on the cordura sheaths. I had some early knives and the back button had no protection and put a circle on the wood of the knife because they were hard to snap and over time it damaged the wood scales of the knife.
