Hey, Hogs

I'm rather new to Busse, but I've certainly caught the fever....bad. :D

I've bought, sold, and traded here on the forums over the past several months getting to know what I do/don't like. Spending way too much in the process. Since I love EDC sized blades, guns, flashlights, etc. I've fallen in love with the Magnum Bear Cub. Excellent knife and probably my favorite Busse at the moment. I've started snatching up any I can get my hands on, and my wallet can afford.

I came across something interesting today that maybe ya'll experienced hogs can shed some light on...the custom shop MBC. I ran across an old thread from several years ago 2012, I think, that was discussing the MBC and had a photo of a custom shop version from Blade magazine. Which I managed to find here: http://www.gundigest.com/wp-content/uploads/BLADE-November-2012.pdf

Do these actually exist?? I haven't seen any custom shop variants on the exchange, mind you I haven't been around for very long. Everything I've come across as been either black paper micarta or yellow/black G-10 (a Blade show exclusive??). I own both, but if there are custom shop version floating around out there...I'll be on the hunt. lol

So does anyone have a custom shop MBC? Any pics?

Oi! It's a dangerous fever...It took a drug habit and then leaving the country for a couple years before I could finally break myself free of the deep, irresistible compulsion to continually buy new INFI regardless of my financial situation

But to answer your question, yes there was a hollow ground MBC available with mammoth bark scales available in a Ganzaaa a couple years back...I know because I had one on order and then couldn't pay for it so had to let it go. IIRC, they were also available with some kind of wood scales as well, but memory is a little hazy

They were gorgeous, and pricey little pieces, but if I had the money I'd totally jump on one...

If you really want one, you can contact Garth and see if there are any blanks around and choose whatever beautiful scales you want.

Oh and just a heads up, mods might ask you to keep WTB stuff in the WTB section ;)

Happy New Year!

Cool! Thanks for the info. No wonder I haven't come across one before. The pic from Blade looked amazing...you'd need a INFI crowbar just to pry it from my cold lifeless grasp. LOL
