I see the custom shop website is up and running ... i have a boss jack that i would like to have polished and new handles on it. Do i just submit the form and they give me a quote then i ship the knife to busse?

Website for custom shop never went down. There's a sticky thread posted above by the Bossman, announcing custom shop is closed and why. I'm sure there will be an announcement when it reopens :-)

^^ Amy-0 also reaffirmed that the Custom Shop is still closed the other day:

Your friendly Amy-0 (yes it is a ZER0) LOL to answer some of the questions that you may have...

3. The Custom shop is still closed. We are sorry no mods, spa treatments (changing handles, blade finish ect) but if it is a Warranty issue heck yes...

Just curious if the custom shop is closed then how are custom knives from op2w coming up on the for sale threads or on ebay? Were those meant for shows or events originally?

There working on back orders.

Show blades and cancelled orders would be my guess.

either before shop closed, for blade or probably just to show off. If they were orders, they would have sold.

The Custom Shop is still running and producing blades, what they are not doing is taking new orders or work till they they had caught up on what was outstanding and, presumably, production was meeting demand from the rest of the operation.

In Jerry's own words (from the thread stickied)...

We have 5 fulltime makers in the Custom Shop who are squirreled away in the "Crab Shack" working furiously to keep up.

New custom orders along with other Custom Shop projects are standing at nearly 18 months and quickly growing.

Due to this backlog we are suspending any new orders for custom blades and/or customizing (Handles, Liners, Refinishing, etc....) for the next 36 months.

There will continue to be new customs to score at the major shows like Knob Creek and BLADE Show that are already an integral part of the Custom Shop production schedule.

Jerry :D
