Custom Shop Queries

I tried twice to contact the custom shop by e-mail, but haven't had any luck. So, I thought I'd try the crew here. Could you help me out with a pair of questions?
(1) Do they use pre-cut blanks?
(2) Has anyone gotten them to re-create an out-of-production blade (e.g. SHSH or ABA)?

precut blanks depends entirely on stock. If they happen to have an extra unused blank of a given design they may be able to use it for your order, but thats entirely up to what they have in stock. Generally I'd assume that they won't have the model your looking for and it will have to be rebuilt from the ground up.

I've done heavily modified models (choiless w/recurve etc) but never a direct reproduction. you would just have to get ahold of garth to get his okay on it. Keep trying and eventually you'll get through.

THey just finished blade and have been ramping up for the AG Russell show thats in a couple weeks.

SOmetimes oldies show up at KC but I have not seen either of the two you mention. Atleast I dont remember.:D
 
IF you are trying to recreate from scratch, you are better off cost-wise finding it on the XC.

SHBA's, ABA's. They do exist. (Probably more of the former out there than the latter.)

Well, I didnt get em anyway:( I dont remember a SHSH persay maybe some type of variant???

I dont believe Ive seen an ABA but .........

I did get this SH-e variant which I have shown before.

Old models pop up occasionally... These two ZTSH's came from the Great Easton Trunk Show last November. :thumbup:
