Custom Shop Questions for a Noob...

In lieu of the Ganza offering, I have some general questions about the custom shop. It seems easier to ask BF than to waste the time of the Busse staff... No need to distract them from all the hard work!

I am not looking for exact prices or anything like that, just a general understanding on how blades and features would be priced from the custom shop.

Would a 1000 dollar credit get one big INFI blade? or a couple small INFI ones? What would be a reasonable idea on how to guage? Are original Busse prices a good "ball park" or secondary price or in between?

What request will custom shop accommodate or not? Are tiger hide and snakeskin fair game etc? Does the price exponentially grow for tiger hide or snake skin vs black canvas or green canvas? (logic says it does but we both know how that goes sometimes)

Are all reasonbale past models fair game? Like a urban grudge, or tank buster or HHFSH???

Is brushed, or competition finish that much cheaper and worth compromising with if you are looking for users out of the custom shop instead of show pieces?

So many questions :eek::eek::eek:

as ExtraBacon said, only Busse can answer those questions, especially when the shop has been closed so long.

I can say that I ordered a couple custom shop Team Gemini's about 2 years ago and they were in the $750 range. Prices vary greatly by options such as coated vs satin and micarta vs some of the more custom scale materials.

At that time the NMSFNO and Tank Buster blanks were not available. However, Busse did have a small run of Ceracoated Tank Busters and SFNO's in early 2015, so who knows what they might have stashed now. I didn't even dream of asking for a HHFSH, I am betting that would be a long shot. Maybe they have a few blanks left on some of the newer releases? My guess is a lot of that stuff got blown out with the grab bags.

I also have custom shop questions. If it reopens, I hope there is room for me.

Custom Shop questions should be sent to Garth via email so he has a record of all communications. He makes decisions on CS orders and can tell you if your request doable based on materials and design. He's a busy man with all the drinking and grinding so give him time to respond.

Be prepared for a lengthy wait.....you know like 2 weeks maybe...:eek:;)
