Why isn't the Vantage offered in the Custom Shop?

The new Vantage Avid uses a polymer enclosure to hold the Rosewood scales in place, why not offer different inlays? For example: Cherry, Stag, Elk, etc. To take it a step further why not make the polymer enclosure out of brushed Aluminum, Brass, or Nickel?

Also offer a variety of blade steels such as S30V, 154CM, etc.

Imagine a Custom Shop Vantage with Stag scales over a Nickel enclosure with a high polished S30V Blade. I'd buy one!

What do you guys think?

I agree. I read in the other thread they stopped taking the avid cause it was swedish steel, so why not find a mid level american steel to use. Im still not sold on stag, but some good woods or micarta or various G10s would be nice.

Maybe different colors of "Obeecheewood" or Diamondwood would be feasible, (something consistent a CNC can manage) but finding a big enough, flat enough piece of Stag/Elk for a large Vantage, even a small is hard.

With natural materials might be hard to automate, or finish in a timely manner by hand. The amount of assembling, disassembling, and custom sizing screws for each piece leads to a lot of labor.
I bet these are discerning factors as to why it is not offered.

The underside of the scales looks as pictured below so you can see what I mean.

I wouldn't even care about the natural handles, but different G10 or Micarta would be neat. Add several steel choices and that it would be assembled by hand with slightly better attention to detail (I assume the custom stuff is) and I think you would have a definite winner.
