Custom Shop wait time

Hey all, curious what the average wait time is from the Custom Shop, or at least how long anyone's had to wait in the past. I placed my order around the beginning of October and I'm pretty sure I've memorized all the google image results for RMD's at this point :p Thanks for any feedback!
 
I just placed an order and was told 16 weeks.
Oh man, I'm just starting my wait. Looks like yours is almost over . congrats on the new rat!
 
It varies according to their workload, and what your order is.
I placed an order right at the start of November, and was told 12-20 weeks. I had a feeling I'd be waiting a while - it's sort of a grail piece for me, though; so knowing it's coming is enough.
I did get lucky a few times, (received knives within 3 weeks).

What color combo did you pick for your RMD?
 
Im already showing signs of mental and physical break down from having to wait just one week for my new Choppy. How your able to wait 14 or more weeks is beyond me. I think I would hang myself in the shower and staple a note to my forehead if I had to wait any longer for a new rat!

Right on, I knew I had a long wait ahead of me, I'm just getting antsy haha. I went with a black coated FFG blade with green and black G10. What grail piece are you waiting on?

Lmao I don't blame you, if I was waiting on a choppy I woulda lost it by now. I've basically just gotten through the last few months with the help of Benchmade and ESEE :thumbup::D
 
Things takes time, good things takes a little longer, but they are worth the waiting time.:thumbup:

By the time I became aware of it, they had taken it out of regular production; but I've wanted one since I first saw one online. I've seen many available; but I wanted a specific handle color...and I didn't want to pay inflated prices. It was almost a year ago that I found out I could order one through the custom shop, even though they were no longer offered on the website.
SwampRat Waki, with tan/black G10. (I chose the sage blade - I have an RMD with that color combo, and I really like it)
 


Some people would say I have a problem....
I'd have to agree - I don't have a red/black G10 RMD, yet.
 
I do like that RMD of yours, the one with the ranger green G-10 - first one i`we seen.:thumbup:
 
I don't see an Orange and Black either. You have a serious problem. LOL Great collection.

I ordered a Rodent Solution. Black g10 handles ,red liners, satin finish, full flat grind and squared the spine. Can't wait!
Love the pics on this thread! Great rmd collection, and love the brown handles on the different blades Ragnerok.love the Custom shop!!!

Thats really an awesome looking R6 that you got there buddy. As far as i can see, you got both black and yellow liners, right? -Has the handle slabs been thinned out? - Could you please post more pics?

It's regular handles, yellow liners, top guard removed. The picture posted above is recent and shows a larger choil. I had sent it in for an unflush handle adjustment, and mentioned the choil edge was catching my giant finger lol. Asked them to dull it there. To my surprise they machined in a larger choil, for a perfect fit! Truly a custom shop.. And well worth the wait!

Took all of about five minutes to take off the bottom of that Christmas tree... Wood shooting out like a wood chipper! Blew my mind. I've let it patina recently to see how it might look.

They don't have a site with options and pictures unfortunately. If you email them, and say whatever you want done to whatever model, they will get back with a price.
Pretty much how it works
 
Just got the ship notification for my Waki....that leaves two more pending - a Rodent 6, in the same color scheme (+ green liners); and a Rodent 3, satin & snakewood.
