custom shoppe question

What's the difference between smooth asian waterbuffalo and asian waterbuffalo scales?
Are the non-smooth scales textured?
I can't tell from the pictures on the build-a-110 site.....they just look like a slightly different color.

That can't possibly be how the standard buffalo horn scales come from the custom shoppe, can it?
If that was the case, I would call them tomorrow to order one!

That is how my standard buffalo horn scales came from the custom shoppe. Why don't you have a custom made with the textured and another made with the smooth... then compare!
