Santa Fe Stoneworks and Blue Mountain Turquoise do very nice works on spydies, but I think would be interesting to organize a contest between all the people that likes to customize and modify thair spydies...what do you think about, Spyd People ?

Hi Mario. I don't know how you could arrange a contest, but it sure would be interesting to see some pictures of all of the various aftermarket designs. We've tried to come up with a way of getting all of the variations together for referral, but have had no luck.

I would love to have a custom Sypderco; however, I would prefer something inbetween the "high art/high price" versions and the "stock" knives. Hopefully, this would result in an affordable collectable that would be more readily carried and used by Spydies. Are there others out there that prefer a Spyderco that is a "semi-custom user" rather than an "untouchable showpiece"?

The inlaid G-10 Native from the factory is a good example. Now, wouldn't it be great if more 3rd party customizers could get creative?

Impossible Dream?: The day when a buyer can log on to the Spyderco website and custom order their knife--choice of blade material, choice of scale material & color, etc. (ala Buck knife's site).

Impossible dream?
I hope not too! And I'm sure that a lot of Spyd people would enjoy it. Let's take present that this "custom order" is already possible in several commerc fields, weapons included, so...
C'mon Sal, let us dream

EX ALTO FULGOR

It would also be nice if one could log onto a section of the Spyderco site and find aftermarkert crafstmen.

I do not have the available time to organize such a contest or find a way to attract the makers, but I am open to it.
