I didn't think that this belonged in the custom forum....the knives posted in there are in a totally different league!

Thought I'd post it here......

I just finished this little guy....first folding knife I've attempted to put wood scales on. I've done 2 fixed blade knives with varying levels of success.

This took me 3.5 hours in the shop...used drill press, dremel, and good old fashion sandpaper.

What do ya think??

Thanks!

Only thing I would have done is not left all sets of holes for tip up/down and left/right. Just for a clean look. But you left it versatile which is just as nice, just a different preference.

awesome job brother. People can tell when someone really takes their time to get it right, and it looks great. Now, I don't know if it's the lighting or camera quality, but now you gotta shine that sucker! polish the heck out of it :D

You are exactly right! I just put the G10 scales down and started drilling. If I could do it over again....definitely would have just used the holes for my preferred carry method..

The wood is cocobolo...my favorite!

I thought about it....this is a daily user...if it's too shiny I won't want to use it! :) I just rubbed some light oil on it to bring out the color of the wood.

Nice job on the knife . The Persistance has been my EDC for a while. Great knife and solid lock.
