I have some pics of my new custom from Pete's. Would love to share; don't know how to get the photos on this forum. I could email them to someone who knows how and would like to post them. Thanks, Ev.

NICE!! Very nice. How do you like the finger grooves? I haven't had a chance to try one yet. Did they put an edge 2000 on that. Imagine that. Edge 2000 on BG-42. Hoooooey!! I'm so friggin jealous. That's one sweet knife. Congrats.

Very, very pretty. In the first picture it almost looks like brass bolsters, is the color balance off on my monitor, or is it a reflection?

I've been wondering how much of a warm tone the stag would have, and how it would match with brass.

Given that you forked out for the BG-42, I expect you plan on using this knife -- should be a great one!

Peace,

Al F.

I've got one very similar, mine doesn't have the finger grooves though. Love that BG-42 steel, the stag is very nice too. I have not used this one, have one with buffalo horn I do use (dropped on the floor while showing off! Duh, so scratches made it a user

)
and it's got the BG-42 also.
Yours looks very nice as well, nice pic!!

Thanks for the comments, guys. Al, the reflection is off my ceiling. I live in a log cabin with wood everywhere! I like the finger grooves. Gives it a secure feeling when opening the junk mail. That's about all it will be used for probably. I got the BG-42 because it is so highly written up. Great feeling knife! The edge 2000 is as sharp as any knife I have. Pops those little hairs.
Thanks, Mike, for posting the pics for me. Ev.

Navav,
That is one nice knife! If you don't mind, i will pass these comments on to Dana. She likes to know if she is hitting the mark with the Pete's knives.

Take care,

Thanks, Joe. While you are passing on comments, how about a high-polished blade on the 110 from Pete's? I don't recall anyone asking for that option yet. Since these knives are probably mostly "collectors" rather than "users", I would think a polished blade would be popular. Does anyone else like a polished blade? Ev.

Ev, I am with you. I like a mirror polished blade on a collectable knife. I have a custom 503 with siberian impala scales with a mirror polished blade that is a using knife. The mirror polish has held up well.

What a knife! Hey guys, why not post more pics of your Pete's Custom 110s?! (And Pete, please offer a custom 112.)

And Pete, please offer a custom in a drop-point pattern!!!

My first knife from Pete's came with the high polish 420HC. Last time I looked (a week ago) it was still an option. Really nice polishing job, too.

Hi Dave, I just rechecked the Shoppe. Looks like the mirror polished blade is only available with the 420HC. Maybe Joe could tell us if they can do it to the BG-42. I'd be tempted to mail mine back for the polish job. Ev.
