Hows everyone doing?
Just wondering if any of who guys know of any companies or individual that make custom survival kits. I'm not talking about those kits you buy from Kmart for $15. For feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Check put www.equipped.org they have alot of reviews of commercial kits as well as the build your owns. I would suggest making your own taylored to your area and needs. Half the fun is building your own. Have fun.

Here's a local vendor in my area whose kits I've looked at. FWIW I don't buy their (or anyone else's) kits. http://www.emprep.com/index.html

As for buying vs making kits, I TOTALLY agree with 3Nails that making up your own kits is the way to go. Not only does it force you to do the analysis & deciding about your own individual priorities and needs for the kit, you know rock-solid exactly the "what & where" of the inside of the kit because you put it in there. Thus there is no guessing at what resources the kit contains or fumbling to find them. As 3Nails points out, making up the kits can also be its own form of fun. :D

Just my quick $0.02, -- Greg --

I just want to back up what 3nails and RokJok said directly above. I agree 100%. You'll end up with a better kit, which you'll know better and be able to use better, and also have more fun, if you build the kit yourself. It might even come out to be cheaper!
