OK, can you show me a picture of a Custom knife made after 2002 where the anvil stamp is used without the accompanying word "Custom"? I've never seen a knife where the anvil stamp was used alone after 2002.

Here you go Desoto, this knife was issued in 2004 and is stamped Buck (over) anvil (over) USA, "no Custom stamp". Larry Oden gave this knife honorable mention in his "Put Up Some Dukes' article in the March 08 BCCI news letter.

LOL.....I did not show you anything....we just share info here with our fellow Buck Brothers:thumbup: No, it's no build out. Anyway, you schooled me on the anvil custom thing (I never noticed). I took a look in my displays and that was the only one I found that was made after 02, all the others had Custom with the anvil. Anyway, Even if they were made that way after 02 it's still a pain in the can to look up the year those LE's were made. Who knows, maybe when they made this one there was a left over 02 blade in the bin and it made it's way onto my 04 SO/LE?

If I get a wild hair this weekend, I'll dig around the pile and see if I find any more.

Larry's article also mentions two others, the 2003 500SP1 and the 2005 500SP4, both of which have the Buck over Anvil over USA stamp.
