Custom Tanto Survival

This custom tanto survival knife by Gil Hibben was given to me mid-80's by my, at that time, fiancee, as an engagement present. She told Gil roughly what I wanted, and he said he had one of two of the type still available. It's probably the only positive thing to come out of that marriage. I actually carried it as a working knife until I heard that Sylvester Stallone had purchased the other knife of this type, at which point, I promptly retired mine. Fortunately, still in excellent condition.

That is really awesome! The well made survival knives of the 80's are still great, and Gil's custom work is out of this world.

Thanks guys... I know what you mean Planterz, they're even knocking off the UC stuff now, and no, I kept the knife but not the girl. I'm with the right one now though, she REALLY likes sharp things
