Hello JR!

You can check out Bobby branton of ATC fame. He is prez of the largest knife throwing org. in the US, IIRC. I won a pro model #12 from him by answering a question on the throwing forum. This large knife is a brute! I have only thrown it.. um.. maybe 25 times. But when it hits the target, it sure sinks in. I think the blade is something like 9" or so. It is a large bowie type thrower with vulcanized fibre for the handle.

Its Karp, Bob Karp, and yes he's still around, but he doesn't make his own knives. He pays a third party to make them which is one of the reasons they are so expensive. $60-$80+ is toward the "high end" (though not the most expensive which would probably be Harald Moeler's Viper) for throwing knives, but they are really nice throwers.

His contact info, as well as Harald Moeler's and many more are on the page cited above.

Thanks for the clairification Mat.:) I did not know he only did the designs. Wow! You CAN still learn something here.;) :D

As Crayola said!! Check out Bobby's throwers...really nice!

Rob Hudson, not famous for thowing knives but man did he have a couple that threw SOOOO sweetly! forged out all metal integral handle that gave it some weight, not sure if he is in the market to make them but an email wouldn't hurt and you might end up getting something even nicer!

But while at the Ashokan Seminar, we set up a throwing target and from about 20' or so away those knives were deadly accurate, bowie bladed shaped blades, I didn't want to give them back!

His email address is

Hudson@friend.ly.net

Check him out...no web page as such and I don't have an image of that throwing knife, sorry...
