Quite a while ago, a member here, PiterM designed a very cool titanium backspacer for his Umnumzaan. Long story short, PiterM wasn't interested in making these for others, but he gave permission to a custom knife maker from Colorado, Brad Southard. Brad didn't have an Umnumzaan, though. I loaned him my knife! And now I'm the proud owner of the very first Southard titanium backspacer:D

Very Nice, I just sent Brad an email inquiring about one. Should definitely add some grip at the end.......Dont think it would work on my tanto umnumzaan because of the tanto blade style, but surely will on my regular umnumzaan. Again, Very Nice.
 
That's a cool thing. It looks good on the Umnumzaan, it goes well with the handle texturing. :):thumbup:
 
It doesn't tickle my fancy much, but I really like the idea of putting custom stuff on knives.

Sorry guys if you emailed me and it took me a bit to get back to you.

I got absolutely flooded with emails for these guys! Which is great, but I wasnt quite expecting that much of a response. I'm currently all out, but have some more in the works, as well as some for the Sebenza (both sizes)

Should also ask. Doesnt anyone have a nice photo of the Umnumzaan Tanto taken apart with the blade in the close postion? I could with some fancy photoshop work determine what would need to be changed to make sure that these would also fit the tanto.
