Custom Umfaan Set

In honor of my baby girl's birth this year, I commissioned a unique set of Umfaans from Chris Reeve for my wife, daughter and myself. Having never handled a Chris Reeve folder before, I relied upon the informed opinions from those who post in this forum. I was not disappointed, as the fit and finish of the knives are excellent!

As mentioned often in these posts, Anne does great customer service! Based on two pictures I sent her from the Russian artist Kandinsky, she had her associate Scott design a unique interpretation for the graphics. Since they did such a great job, I thought that other forumites might enjoy a picture of the knives:

Thanks for the validation! I have now dusted off my knees and am now able to type...

Rick: At 9 months old, she has already started to favor her right hand. Besides, the Umfaan has ambidexterous thumb studs.

Could you post the artwork that you provided to CRK? I'm curious how close they were able to get the knife to the original.

JB: The two scans I provided to CRK were:
CompositionVIII
YellowRedBlue

As you will note, the pictures are far too complex to be recreated on the side of a small knife. I simply provided a reference for graphical elements that I like (asymetric lines, circles, etc.). The results are Scott's interpretation. If you compare images, you can see that he did a good job!
