That is one heck of sword. You could chop a lot of cotton with that thang!

Let me know who bought this one so I will be sure and not make him mad....

I suspect he will not mind...it was our brother in nuclear toughness, straightblastpfs.

Expect his impressions on it next week.

$2000???? Are we getting over-zealous in our egded weaponry expenditures? Take a deep breath, step back, and think about this...

for 2 grand you could buy:
a) 444 6-packs of Bud (7.3 beers/day for a year)
b) a used car
c) 154 cheap machete's ($13 each) at the army/navy store
d) a Kimber stainless Target .45, a Busse Battle Mistress, and 222 6-packs of Bud (still 3.6 beers/day for a year), or,
e) a Busse Waki-something...

...it is pretty cool though. The fileworked blade catch is a nice touch too.

Wulf, you make a good point. But consider: A used car is only good if you need one, and begins its descent to a valueless chunk of metal as soon as you start her up for the first time; the beer, while good, is only rented, not bought. The Kimber, well, where would I haul it without making the Gold Combat model and Pro Elite feel left out?

All in all, whatever you pay for anything is a lot of money...if you have to work for it. But, I average 80-90 hours per week and I damned sure enjoy everything I buy

Life is too short to die with a bunch of money, at least that is my opinion.

Bruce - you're absolutely right. Every time I make a large purchase I go through the torture of adding up all the other things I could spend my money on instead, and I invariably arrive at the same conclusion: I don't want any of those other things nearly as much as whatever it is I'm buying instead.

That wakizashi is *&@*#$%ing AWESOME, and I envy you. I'm sure you'll enjoy it much more than you would enjoy a beat-up old car or a bunch of cheap machetes.

Andy,
It's absolutely beautiful!
