What do you guys use to countersink the holes. Any tips. I just hate some cheap plastic scales and love the look of sealed wood.

Either a 90 or 82. degree counter sink for spyderco style screws and Emerson screws, Or a dozen different counter bores for the standard screws.

My mistake.

Definitely depends on your attachment method. I use corby bolts, and use an endmill or to be honest, sometimes I'll grind a drill flat and use that for a counterbore. Other fasteners use diff countersinks- 82* is standard for imperial/inch measurements, and 90* is standard countersink for metric screws. Good luck, its fun and easy (once you remember to mark the left and right side scales on the correct side!) to personalize your knife this way.
