custom wsk tracker

You can't post images that are stored as files on your computer. You will have to transfer the images to a photo hosting site such as photobucket.com, mypicgallery.com, etc., and then you will be able to post them here. Another way is to get an ungraded membership, and then you can post images as attachments.

Thanks for the help guys,I made this knife because of the comments and changes blade forum members wanted to see on the tracker. Front blade is flat ground and the grind line moved back for better cutting.,lLarge shark fin guard to protect the pinkies, canvas micarta grips, solid stainless pomel for pounding.I machined a 1/2" groove in the piece then welded it to the handle.double row of staggered teeth on back for sawing.ol=12 1/2", blade wdth =1/4"front blade=4 1/2",draw blade=2 1/4"weight=23 oz.I'd like some feedback either positive or negative before I make another one. Thanks Steve

looks good! it seems like a nice addition to the ever growing WSK family. don't care much for the 440c, but I guess any kind of tool steel would make this a bit of a club. i like the pommel idea, does it effect the chopping action? got any other pics?

I like it and I really like the flat pommel so if you need to take a board and drive it through something (for whatever reason) you can. How do the sawteeth perform? Is this sold or is it a test model? Have you done any test cutting and if so how did it fare? I like the tracker model, dont know why...just do and I really like your design here. Thanks for the pics and any more information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the positive feedback. My name is Steve Stuart .I've been making knives since 92.Mostly tatical(probably why this wsk was designed as so) and file knives. You might have seen a few file knives of mine in knives 2006,98,99.l Am A Member the Canadian knifemakers guild.
The saw teeth perform quite well,1 cut a 2 inch sapling down although the teeth do get cloged a bit and have to be cleaned. The pomel doesn't effect the chopping.it moves c.o.g about 1/2-3/4 inch back about where your index finger would sit .The pomel dim are 3/4 by 1 1/8.i have more pictures .just not computer savie yet.

I like the pommel too but would prefer if it was rounded off a bit, in case you want to use your palm for the pounding or to lean some weight on it.
