Custom xm. Spearpoint or Spanto

Making the hard decision for my next xm custom. Looking at a few but hard to decide which one. Deciding between spearpoint and Spanto and working finish or polished.
 
Tough choices!!!!

In a perfect word...all 4. WF Spanto, WF Searpoint, Satin of each.

But if it were up to my choosing...first would be a Satin Spearpoint because they are rediculously awesome in most every way. The WF is rugged cool. But hand-applied Satin is tough to beat.

I've yet to see a custom Hinderer I didn't like, so I understand how difficult this decision can be.

I say, consider flipping a coin or just see which provides itself first/best. Sometimes plans fall into place instead of prepared ahead of time.
 
My first choice would be (and was) a satin spearpoint, with satin spanto second, and WF spearpoint/spanto third/fourth (toss up).
 
My heart goes to spearpoint as I think this is available through custom only. Satin will be nice as it gives the blade a fresher look and again, available through custom only.
 
That's a tough choice. I am really partial to spearpoints. They are by far my favorite grind. You can't beat a nice hand rubbed satin finish either. If you plan on using it consider the working finish. If its a safe queen satin would be my choice. Good luck with the decision and happy hunting.

The hollow ground Spantos are custom items only, so both blade shapes are similar in that regard...assuming your implying Spantos are more plentiful because production versions exist.

I guess this is as good a time as any to suggest (again) that production Spearpoints should be a reality at some future point.

Thanks for the info :thumbup: I was indeed implying there are plentiful production Spanto. I did not know that the grind is different. The custom is going to cut slightly better I guess :)

But, I DO have a spearpoint showing up TOMORROW!!!

I have a spear point arriving tomorrow too. :D ..couldnt help myself. Feels like christmas eve in bed all over again. Lotto tomorrow too! :)

So, three spearpoints being delivered today? And two of those to AK? Sweet!

AND I'm off of work today so I'm gonna sit and drink coffee until the mailman arrives...
