The new owner can proudly stand up when you see this :)

New owner reporting.

I couldn't be happier, exactly what I'd envisioned back when we were talking about it. I especially like how the back-swept guard came out--all of my fingers would have to break and bend backwards before my hand could slide onto that blade. :D

Hehehehehehehe...those pictures are making me do a little dance that I'm glad nobody else is privy to. ;)

Ya done good, Brian, many many thanks
Warren

anytime warren!! Glade we could envision this together and get what you had in mind in your hands!!

Well Warren, I must say your idea was a great one, and the final product is just great. I really like the handle.

Thanks much--I wish I could claim credit for the design but as Brian said, I just pulled favorite parts from two other pieces of his work. Here they are, by the way...I think you'll be able to see the parentage. ;)

The only thing I can claim any credit for is the guard design/transition. We were trading drawings back and forth until we settled on it. I just drew the rough idea, though. The MAN here refined it. :D

that top green handled knife is my personal kife and man....I like your transition line better!!! GRRRR:thumbup::D

OH YEAH - 7" BLADE AND AROUND 14" OVERALL :D

Wow. I can actually here that knife screaming, "Let's go whack somethin'!" What a great knife, in both design and execution. The two of you should put your heads together more often. Very nicely done.

Goode .. the dark part .. is it a hamon or a bevel?

No doubt at all .. it is a beauty ..

thats the hammon. The grind is a flat grind almost to the top :)

It is very nice piece. Could you tell me if the hamon was made with clay or any other protective substance or came out naturaly?
