Hi, I got two of the 3 110's I got from ebay and will send all 3 of them to buck for a spa treatment/sharpening etc when the 3rd one arrives.. I got Bucks instructions on where to send them in & to include a note explaining what work I need done etc and was told about 6-8 week turnaround time.

My question is, does anyone have "go to" person in particular that I should put to the attention too and someone that I can maybe check on a status from time to time or if I needed to communicate something to Buck after they have them for service? From reading some prior posts it seems that some knives come back stellar while others were a disappointment so not sure if all of the technicians do the same quality of work. I also realize expectations are subjective as well.

its always nice to have a "go to" person vs just dealing with whoever answers the phone or sending it to the general email box but just wondering how your experience was with Buck either with having a "go to" person or dealing with the general staff.
thanks

110Dave put up a pictorial for your question a few months ago and above is the link to his cool thread for your amusement.

I visited/toured the Buck Factory, there is only one, in Post Falls, Idaho just this last summer when 110Dave was there. I met the talented and gifted spa craftsman and watched him work what looked like magic to fallen troopers/knives. He is one fellow, Dan. I don't believe you can communicate directly with him outside your note enclosed with your target knives.

StumpJumper toured the factory twice while I was there so he may have more to offer but I was charmed and amazed by the excellent plant, equipment and able workers I saw in action. You should consider visiting the plant to see for yourself. They have a terrific store there for your needs and you will find things there that can be had nowhere else. And there is a museum upstairs that will dazzle you.

I sent 2 in for repairs this past fall.
One was too far gone, and they replaced it with a brand spankin' new one :)
The other one they repaired, buffed and sharpened. It came back looking brand spankin' new :)
They did all this in a 2 week timeframe, and that included shipping them to and from. (A bit faster than what seems the norm)
No communication other than the note I sent with the knives.

Overall, it was a 100% awesome experience for me.
I would not hesitate to do so again.

Thanks Oregon. Would like to see the place for sure and if ever out that way its on my bucket list. I am in PA so unfortunately a bit far away to make it a quick trip. Thanks for the the link.

That is good to know. I delt with a watch co once force repair and it seemed like it went to a black hole and was a bad experience. Appreciate the feedback.
