sometimes i've seen posts that spyderco doesnt answer e-mails or tell you when or if your knife has been recieved or sent back to you.recently i had a question about a knife so i emailed Sal Glesser on the chance that he could help me,i didnt really expect a reply, because i thought he would be to busy since he owned a world renowned company.within a week i recieved a reply from
Sal through Beth Swenson my questions were immediately answered.i couldnt believe it but Sal took the time to help me out. Then they put me in touch with another great person, that is Angela at customer service she is the best, she called me about my knife, told me the good news and the bad news, and then went out of her way to make sure i was happy with the results. My hats off to you Sal you have very good people in your customer service dept, and your whole company from the operator on.So guys if you have a problem with something call that 800 number and i guarantee spyderco will get you results good or bad.

Thanks for the kind words....I'll pass on your thanks to Beth as well.

Hi, I'll second that.
I received a brand new Spyderco Police fully serated as replacement for the one I had which showed some "unlocking" behaviour.

The new one is in ATS55 the old one Gin-1 so that probably is an improvement also.

The 200% service and kind informative emails from Angela U. make me an lifetime Spyderco user.
Angela, thanks again.
Best regards, Bagheera (Holland)

While I have had mixed experience with the helpfulness of the replies from Spyderco, I have always recieved a reply. Even the times when the reply didn't answer my question, a little persistance (read probably annoying everyone in the company) finally got me to the person who could and would answer my question. While I wouldn't call this stellar customer service, it has been far from being as bad as others have made it out. At least in my experience.

You are where you should be.
You are doing what you should be doing.
Otherwise, you would be somewhere else,
Doing something else.
