So, I just wanted to point out the awesome customer service of Emerson. I sent in my Horseman for blade play, they let me know when it arrived, and I got a call the day it shipped out letting me know it was headed my way. The entire process took less than three weeks and they even replaced my screws free of charge, which is awesome.

Any email exchange or phone conversation I've had with EKI has been 100% positive. Definitely a life long customer now, but I pretty much was anyways, haha.

Cool. I just had a factory edge put on my horseman and received the same excellent customer service. I believe it was Ann whom I spoke with on multiple occasions.

The only difference is that I actually live about 10 minutes away from EKI. In fact, I bought the knife directly from their little showroom! I knew that I probably would have saved $10-$20 bucks off MSRP, but there was just something really cool about driving over and buying directly from the factory.

Nice. I would like to buy right from their physical storefront. As it is, there isn't even a local store around me that I can look at an Emerson in person. All my purchases are online.

Yep, they took care of my 16 the same way got it back less than 3 weeks

I've known about the Emerson "wave" feature on various brands of knives for years, particularly the Spyderco Endura/Delica. But I knew little about Emerson knives themselves. Once I familiarized myself and decided that I had to have one, I was shocked when I found out that they're in Harbor City. If I was asked to guess where EKI was a few months ago, I would have guessed Pennsylvania or something. I couldn't believe my good fortune when I found out they're in my neighboring town!

Which one to pick up next is the question. I'm thinking a classic CQC-7, full size, black, non serrated, with wave. And with "Jungle green" G10, it would be my dream knife.

You can never go wrong with the CQC-7. I have the exact one you're thinking of and I love it. The CQC-7 that I'm really after now is the flipper version. Those are very hard to come by. I think you'll be happy with which ever one you choose. Post some pics once you get it :)

I have to agree with the customer service excellence, like I told you guys somewhere else, I ordered my Roadhouse from them directly and a skull bead, somehow the bead got missed and the knife came without a sticker; I talked to Anne also, they sent the bead and not only one sticker but three different ones! Now, that is a nice touch if you ask me. Thank you Anne! And Emerson!

Yes I will concur that they have the best customer service I have ever dealt with. So easy to contact on the phone; so easy to talk to; so easy to get warranty work. This is the main reason I mainly buy Emerson knives

i'm lucky, but maybe not. i haven't had to use Emerson customer service for my dozen or so. which is a good thing since they make solid products. service work ain't needed often or in my case at all, so far......

I've only needed it for my heavily used horseman which the play was there but minimal, but enough to worry me. Other than that, I've never had to use it.

^and that's a good thing. caase they make good solid work able knives.
